Well my honest feed back is not good.

Shield dropping way too fast, new animation on FB is slow. The FD "buff" at 1400 mc gave me 120 damage... The 12% stun chance on thunder nova useless as the damage from the spell is so low and the chance of it landing at 12% 1 in 10 with a spell hitting less than 1k damage.

Overall my initial assumption that we (wiz) would come out the worst was pretty correct from what I've seen.

I did say this patch would make or break the server for me, as my activity levels been low anyway, its not really a big deal. Glad some work went into it but sadly its just not for me.

Good luck and thanks for the huge amounts of fun I've had playing.

Hey atleast you have a shield lol. Euro shield was max 3min here with shit mc my wiz gets 15min. Risk/reward. Gotta beware of sheild poping and a war 2-3 hitting ya again.
 
Think there are some exciting changes for the Taos but please leave the wizz shield the hell alone. Just think the game could get too unbalanced with these changes and runs a risk of damaging the server . Should of introduced a few spells at a time . Think too much has been changed at once IMO
 
the wizzard shild just got what it needed imo. to op to have it like that only thing that could change it go down to 0.75% or 0.50% if 0.75% isnt enough.
 
wizz shield is the only thing personally that evens out everything since I'm a war. i think its great the taos got a good overhaul wish we had more in guild now lol. wizzs are complaining but do they not realize the other wizz they are fighting will have the same problems and your wars can kill them also. just shows they had such an advantage on the amount of hits they could take, now there worried it would decrease because of damage inflicted. no more just standing there getting hit all day eating chips in your fire circle and frozen ground coping

I agree with you and in addition I don't think it's just a shield. I think something has changed from the point of view of AC / AMC as well. Before my shield fell it was a real challenge to maintain my HP before my shield fell. And the issue of frosen ground is another joke. Agree. I already had an account on another server, small lvl but I didn't play. Now seems like a good time

I don't understand you at all. Somehow you constantly ask to be insulted, after which you complain about it too. I'm not in the habit of insulting anyone and maybe the fact that you're young may be an explanation ... that I take for granted, I'm not sure, or frustration. The game may be an RPG but I still claim that we behave there exactly like in real life, metaphorically speaking. In your case ... the fact that you chose to be a warrior does not give you the right to kill whoever you want and let everyone run away as they see you. What you did not understand is the fact that if you are a warrior you do not receive the status of bully. You clearly did not understand the essence of this game and probably not even Scorp. The difference between us should only be on the type of elements we use. That is, the warrior uses brute force. The wizard spell, the Taoist should be a necromancer to use pets, poisons, repents but all should cause the same damage and ability to defend, but obtained by different methods. The game is unbalanced, badly mixing the abilities between them and worse instead of keeping what is good, we change into even worse. The sad thing is that you prefer to see the server destroyed and unbalanced, just for you to get your great personal achievements.

The same thing happens every update like a broken record, the moment it's released everyone goes searching to work out what the worst parts of it are and declares that they are leaving because of that. In reality, none of us really know yet how these changes will affect things long term.

I think the problem people were complaining about most before this update is that everything is too easy. Now it is more of a challenge for all classes, in fact I would agree that we had things far too easy for a long time and now all classes will be a bit more challenging to play, it almost feels like this is how it should have been before. The free train is stopped and now we must walk for ourselves :)

The issue that I see is that many of the people who are saying they are leaving because of their dissatisfaction in this update, are actually leaving for other reasons. Many are already on their way out because of the negativity, toxicity and bullying that's been allowed to roam so freely on this server, and this update has been more of an excuse to leave rather than a reason to leave. A self justification if you will.

If the server dies after this, it will be because of a lack of action against toxic players, not because of unsatisfactory updates.

I've been enjoying another server lately but will hang about here a bit to see how things pan out

If the server dies after this, it will be because of a lack of action against toxic players, not because of unsatisfactory updates.

Must admit when I started the server was very carebear. The Diablo and Baal challenges where all guilds went together was a favourite of mine. Slowly over the years though pk was encouraged more and more. I always think it’s pvp and wars and item dropping that kills a server. That’s why euro got changed to no pvp body drops.

I don’t ever remember euro changing it to no body drops . Might have been towards the end of its life . However for me that’s what’s always made mir unique is it’s PVP and chance to lose kit, I believe that’s what’s made it stand the test of time 20 years on . All you have to do is go on Lomcn there will always be people talking about mir . I think if you change to many of the dynamics and it will lose its identity to what makes it a special game .

Most of euros life was no body drops in pvp. Got introduced at about lvl 38

I do feel the point of this project has been slightly missed though - trying to recover and rebalance from years of drift caused by updates that allowed scaling issues to compound. Adjusting levels and power to provide a better experience for ALL classes over ALL levels. And that's exactly like 18 minute Magic Shields. On euro a 3 second reduction per hit took place on a 3 minute shield (that's 60 hits to take down shield). On here, take a 16 minute shield to PB and you lose 7-9 sec per hit (120 hits, or 14 hits from a champion DTZ).

I don't imagine that people truly believe that Wizards should have THAT level of tankiness without having to keep it in check. And even if you do believe that then there's no way you can have that with a great deal of power. But that's where feedback comes in.


This update was all groundwork for real content releases, most skills now will go to level 4. So if all you want is more power, there you go, but that you will have to achieve.

Not only was time reduced to shield. Few day ago i went in orc city. I didn't even rev once. Now i died so fast so many times, i lost hulks, gorgon and use a lot of rev scrols to recover my fallen items. I died quickly before the shield fell. It seems to offer 60% pdr but something is wrong. The rest of the changes bother me, like frosen ground, but I can get over it. But the Shield part for me is killer mood

I've been an active player for a year and a half since I came back. I played daily, not the same as before the lifting of the pandemic restrictions, but I played daily and I was present at every wall. I have an account on another sever but it's lvl 1. So I didn't get bored of this server and usually stay true to one game. I played with tao from the beginning of this sever, Hypatia is 181 and it was not easy. I was absent for a while, but then the level was raised from 160 to 165, the rest was my work alone. When I started to hate tao (lack of love) as NERD said, I didn't go to other servers and I started from scratch and started playing with wizz. I arrived at lvl 169, so far from having reached my destination and I honestly love playing with wizz so much that even with these new benefits brought to tao I still can't go back to tao. So for me the only reason I don't play anymore is the changes made. Mostly related to pve. Honestly .... as a silly metaphor, you can't drive a 15k euro hand when you've driven a 65k one before

I dont play ONLY couse upgrade quest item are 100% impossible for a adult person with job and kids. I cba anymore when there is literaly no fair chance to ever finish it even if I play for years. I say remove this quest stuff and make new set instead of bosses that are super rate. Atleast there is a chance of a drop and get them.

No server i ever played did a wizz be able to mass kill a lure by standing there the entire time. Those that did had pro rings and had firewall or similar spells and had to constantly move around and kill distant attack mobs first. You might be right that the shield needs to be adjusted some. But if we're talking mobs warriors get hammered in those places with over 750 ac and agil etc. I think this is good to force people to get back to grp hunting in these higher places where you need multiple wizard if u want to go copping like the old flame field days

Als a warrior built a pdi kit and can do that in zt. Just because you haven't explored the options available to you doesn't mean everyone should be forced to group hunt lol.
 
Cant believe im saying this to scorp but this isnt euro, on euro wizz didnt flinch, also on euro 2x wizz could tstorm/flamefield flinch lock every non boss mob ingame, forcing the server to group hunt doesnt seem feasible with a 50 person player count most of whom cant stand each other.

I play warrior now and still having a blast on it, this update has made boss soloing slightly harder other than thaf i dont think it affects me in anyway
 
the people complaining instantly really make me laugh, i just went over the changes and alot are massive improvements and QoL changes the game needed.

ill be back playing after my 2 night shifts :) see you in game !
 
Not sure what changes you have made to the wiz shield but ill give you my findings so far on my lvl 178 wiz with 70% pdr and full cele kit. getting hit by a warrior with 1400+dc with shield up not an issue really timer goes down but not massively. But if you hunt the like of orc cave or zuma temple (new) you sheild almost goes down instantly and you can not put it back up due to mobs hitting u. Thus finding yourself flat on your arse in seconds.
The other issue i have found on both wiz and tao, is the mp usage makes u not able to cast the spells you need to kill mobs the way it was before. Even with drinking mp pots constantly the regen doesn't keep up with the spells. Not looked at warrior yet.
