I agree with a lot of what Jnavl says tbh, wizzies are powerful and you just need to know how to play them.

since level cap went up there have been warriors logged on levelling for nearly as much time as Danni yet no where near the level.

been able to get a set of pets easier, deal less damage is one solution or put a timer on them as having a class so heavily focused on getting op pets, being able to solo every boss in game and level faster that anyone else is not good for the server imo

Definitely isn’t the real Ivan or JnavI. He was more of a quiet type of person who let his playing do the talking. This guy just went through 2 keyboards on this thread alone.

Yep because most high level wiz gave up because of how much of a pain in the ass pets are, it's stressful to keep them safe, and without them it's 10x harder to play. Is the main reason I only really use wiz for pvp now because I just happen to have kit I invested a lot in and don't like to see going to waste. Tao is much more fun and relaxing to play casually

Back to topic, wizz suck, vast majority have quit because the dynamic of the class has been destroyed, a couple maybe 5 total have persevered with help of their guilds, everyone else has had enough myself included I am now playing warr. The volume of this thread hints to destroy wizz more, which I dont understand.

Look at the rankings. top 10 2 wizz 2 tao 6 warr whats that tell you?

Go further and out of the top 50, over 50% are warriors, what does that tell you?

Of that top 50 a fair good % of the wizz are now 2nd chars, what does that hint at?

At the end of the day years and years ago GM nerfed warrs because of the top 50 most were warrs, we seem to be there again, however instead of nerfing warrs the better option right now imo is to fix wizz, kill the fucking pets off and give us the means to play the character the way it was intended, maxxxxx damage.

Okay read my post where did I say you’re trying to make them useless? I said I know what will happen wiz will get buffed and then nerfed becoming useless.

Any class can be op under a set of circumstances.

Personally, I think you can only have max damage with minimum resistance. Is this a trade off you are willing to accept?

The trade off for wiz having high damage has always been low health.

We still have the highest AOE damage.

Where most people get mixed up is assuming every single wiz in the game has max kit. We don't. Most wizzies have under 5k hp. So leveling is difficult without pets to be meatshields.

Sorry to be a bubble burster here but as someone new to the server wizzies are by far the fastest to level. I got my wiz to 188 in roughly 5 months. Sure events helped but I before events I did 162 to 174 in 11 days in naga gp. Taos aren't far behind.

I never used or needed pets until after I hit 186.

Prior to that I never used em. If you have 5k hp you can stand surrounded by mobs even in bug cave and not die. Frozen ground, frost bite stacked, with inferno. Cycle cop blood storm and suanni. Can clear rooms in bug cave easy.

IF you have the health.

The problem is after that. You cannot level that way in ST or Cata/gp. You need pets.

Damage doesn't even factor into the equation. We do enough "AOE" damage at 1k mc tbh.

Survivability is the issue. You simply cannot level without pets in the caves you NEED to level in at 188+ unless you have ridiculously expensive kit that is not possible to get unless you're in the big guilds.

That's for leveling.

For bossing, wizzies simply cannot kill bosses without pets.

This can be taken one of two ways.

We severely lack single target damage to allow run and gun without pets.

Or

We lack survivability without pets or ridiculously expensive kit."hp runes"

Pfffftttt....someone clearly needs wizz lessons from the top wiz's ingame . Even i don't play a wiz but by witnessing how those top wiz play i can know that this class is not for u. Wiz can be so OP if u invest properly in it. Like i've said BDP pets are optional. Maybe can start by introducing new 190 normal pets that can withstand those normal mob damage, i've always said that the damage from normal mobs do is too high.

When i've mentioned in exchange by starting to reduce PDR/MDR off shields if max damage for wiz is restored, some ppl got triggered. So clearly wants a char with max damage + tanking everything so u can COP the fk out of everything lol. How does that work?

Yea play a warr or tao if u wanna kill bosses or lvl without pets, wiz is not for u.

That char is online almost 24/7. If he's done that without help he clearly gets zero sleep and has some good savings to pay the bills with. Nobody with a job or a family could ever dream of playing 24/7

It's very clearly obvious to anyone that there's multiple people who play on that character, so any comparisons to a normal player are entirely pointless and without any merit whatsoever

that was a totally different game to arcadia that was SO easy 2 hits from wizard thunderstorm flinch locked all mobs so wiz took zero damage, basically no ranged mobs (the ranged were about 1% of the map) so wiz had nothing to worry about. Arcadia is full of ranged and more often than not they hit very very hard.



No, still seems to be rdd/bdp are best pets.


Completely disagree, before you joined this server (and before OP pets), pets were not a necessity for wizz, Wizz were labelled OP at the time, there was actually a campaign from warriors to nerf wizz as out the top 20 players on server 3/4 of them were wizz... wizz did get nerfed, I was coming up at the time as a wizz and we levelled quick, could kill most bosses solo that the other classes could (if we were clever but at an obvious disadventage usually took 3-4 times a long)

PVP we were a force to be reckoned with though 2 wizz doing COP would rev and kill anyone, now our best pvp skill (still cop) doesnt do much.



Ivan, this comment is fucked too, im back ingame 5ish months, killing bosses doing epics, arenas bdp/rdd guild hunts, solo hunts etc etc etc, I still have not in 5months made 1 single full rune of any kind so putting the work in is not paying off, iv had several left over full runes from years ago but years ago they were fucking easy to make.

Full runes 5 years ago used to drop for me from such mobs as ikuturso, 4tails, irenastormcaller, the timber mob in dark wood... lol... what drops them now? Havnt seen a single one.

Easter event I was able to fully kit all my chars with maxed runes and had a store full of them left over, so did every other player inagme.

Im an old player on this game, runeing kit is next to impossible.



Maybe not, take away pets DC, keep their health and defence so they can absorb damage, and increase the wiz characters actual damage a bloody lot. Why do we need pets? 5 years ago wizz could clear a large lure in absolutely any map in seconds without pets, they could kill any boss that a warrior or tao could solo in about x3/x4 the time they could... that was amicable compromise to everyone to wizz levelling a little faster.

Now wiz cannot clear champs in high lvl maps and have no hope in keeping up with war/tao in the boss run.



Your idea of pretty cheaply is not in line with the common player.
You are one of the highest lvl wiz ingame and likely top 5 wealthiest players, and as such have almost unlimited resources behind you, your opinion on this topic is very skewered so should be disregarded entirely.

I dont know what its like to play a wiz with 10k hp with max kit and 20 hp XL runes cause frankly i cant afford it. Who the fk can tbh.

But as what I would consider a "mid" tier wiz at 188 its extremely difficult to level in Marbled and Cata gp without pets, but other classes have the pets/skills/defensives to do it effectively while wizzes cannot do it without EXTREMELY expensive kit, or bdp pets.

Wizzies have 1 sustain spell that gets interrupted easily, and that's it. We are a purely offensive class, as its always been. The trade off has been meat shield pets, and low hp. Just because HP runes were added to the game DOES NOT mean every single wiz will be able to acquire or afford them.

There is a very real reason why most wizzies get to 180/190 and quit and make a tao or warrior. I know of at least 6 people so far that has bailed on their wiz for a tao or warrior, and its come down to not being able to get level appropriate pets, each time.

With that being said our nooby guild is finally able to consistently get to 4th bdp, but wtf is the trick with the wight and frost troll bosses? they slap stupid hard.

You don't need to kill all the bosses on 4th, just kill them until you have enough power orbs to wake the big guy in the middle

They do hit hard, if your group is struggling there then just try to take them 1 at a time. Treat them like any other boss really there's not really a trick to it as such. Tao keeps them cursed and heals the group, get warriors on them to para them, and wiz can stand around looking pretty
