Catering to those that already control the AH is a bad idea.

There are alot of noobies who upgraded their gear and would love to reuse their kit also.

Catering to high levels only will be a slap in the face to them if that tool is only 180+.

I spent my gg on upgrades just like they did, why can't I reuse them.

Anyone who's ever upgraded their cele gear or Holy crystal gear, or GG items supporting this server, including drake and ice drake necklace, revival rings, etc... get fucked. End of story.

From the video he posted no items under 180 can use socket extraction tool.

If this isn't changed to include all levels of gear, it will be the end of this server for me. All this is, is pandering to the high levels and a big middle finger to everyone under 180.

It boils down to this. 195 + new items. All the high levels don't want to upgrade new kit again. So he made a tool only they can use to get all the new high level gear and upgrade it. It's all an appeasement to the 190 and above people. The gap between those under 190 and those above 190 just got leaps and bounds larger. And now those 190+ people will be needing more upgrades to turn into 15s and be pking at every noobie boss in the game that drops em. This is a big cock to anyone under 190.

There isn't a single possible good outcome for anyone under 190.

So even if he doubles or triples drop rate, we still get fked as well just get pkd constantly at the nooby bosses that do drop runes, crystals.

So our only path to upgrade with a rune or crystal, until 190 plus, is to reuse old gear. And we can't do that now. Lol. It's a fking joke.
 
Yes this new update screws everyone under 190!!! The higher levels with get even stronger to PK anyone trying to kill boss to upgrade kits. They already sit at bosses getting all the items and now with this extraction tool they will raise the prices even higher for heath runes or stones to make 190plus even more powerful and screw the lower levels even more. This tool should be for all levels. If not fixed this just messed up the game for everyone under 190 who will have to grind level with crap gear or pay crazy high GG prices.
 
On the video facebook it shows the tooltip the tool can only be used on 190 plus items so anything lower than that with a rune you wont be able to extract as far as i can see , but maybe that video was on his test site and it wont be the case on live server ......

To be fair, we have no idea what is all in the new update and how it will affect players of all levels.

My characters are only 160 / 161, so I am not expecting a huge amount of new content aimed at me, but at the same time, I am not going to bury the lead and go with the assumption that I will not have anything to do with the new content. It is better to see what is in the new update before complaining.

(I am hoping for a few new dungeons for the mid-levels, maybe something that will make catch-up leveling a bit faster. But if there is nothing at least I know when I get to a higher level there will be a lot of new content for me to play!)

New mid-level content is very rare to see. Usually when new content is released it's aimed at the highest levels, and the lower levels typically get existing caves made slightly easier to help them catch up faster. You've been playing a long time though bud, you shouted be up at the 190 mark by now, get yer finger out haha

I really should. haaha. I've played for ages but not enough.

I really need some group hunting now tbh. Thats my main holdback, I am getting on alot faster with my wiz than my warrior tho.
 
For 10 years it has been our stance not to release such a thing. It would be incredibly pay to win and would render rune drops pointless.

The primary purpose of this tool is to allow players to re-spec where they upgraded 180+ kit before the existence of Epic runes which can now exist in that kit.

Any items below level 180 are unchanged and any value in them will remain unchanged. Therefore whatever was spent on them was in conscious mind.
 
So anyone's who has supported this server buying GG to upgrade gear and GG items is getting screwed but those above 180 who get to "respec" their gear for the new items you're releasing.

Game isn't pay to win? we'll show me one person over 170 that isn't using ice drakes, revivals or para rings from the GG shop.

This is an appeasement to those that control the market and will ruin this game for anyone not already in Ely or above kit.

To the 4 people that own the rune/ crystal market, ya won. I'm out.

-edit- if people knew this was going to be a thing no one would have upgraded their kit under 180, noone would have bought ice drakes, etc...

You just made everyone waste a lot of GG on nothing and these items just lost tremendous value over night.

You are talking about content that was released 3 years ago. How long should we wait before releasing more content, in your opinion?
 
It's not about content bud it's valuing your customers time and effort.

People put time, effort, and GG into their gear just like people over 180 did.

And catering to just just the 180+ is a slap in the face of those under 180 that upgraded their gear and supported this server.

By doing this, you basically don't value any of their support or time they've put into this server.

You immediately threw them away.
 
You completely disregard all the additional updates sub 180s have enjoyed which the 180+ did not. This was particularly addressed WITH PRIORITY in the update before "catering" to the 180+

This isn't a content issue. This isn't a place to hunt or cave.

These are items people grinded for, spent time building and spent GG on. All wasted. Except for those that are over 180 in Ely gear.

What about all the 180 people that are still in cele gear? Hc gear? That can't find or afford Ely gear? Screw them they can't reuse their upgrades when they do finally get that kit?

That's not fair to those that worked and grinded and are in-between kit.

You basically throw them away. All their effort time and support of this server.
 
Look I get that this tool is limited time. Good it should be. But give those the option to remove the upgrades and if they still do it after the tool is gone so be it, but at least give them the option to reuse items they grinded for and bought.

The tool needs to be for all level gear. It's that simple.
 
lol its not the level of gear its how you make that gear with runes, orbs and upgrades tbh Ely isn't that great fresh its what you do with it. make better items with your runes.
 
I have heard (so this might be bs) that a few players have brought a load of low level, runed items for a song with a view to making a killing by using a rune removal tool (that they now can't).

I would assume this is the same kind of player as those you state have rigged the rune market.

I still see the problem as being the absolutely dire drop rates of runes. My own personal view is I look to upgrade kit I am about to get, not what I already have. I haven't been able to do this in a long time due to the crap drop rates. Stagnation = boredom in my book.

Scorp states he has increased drop rates on runes. We will see. Like you, I absolutely refuse to spend £100's on runes. I do hope this gets sorted.
 
Higher level gear inherently has better stats bud. So being able to re use upgrades on that higher tier of gear is what were talking about here.

Discounting those that upgraded their cele kit and Holy crystal kit and catering to only those that have Ely or above is the wrong decision.

It's spitting in the face of anyone whose grinded and upgraded by using their time, effort, and gg to get ahead.
