No idea the truth on whats going on and doubt any of us will know the exact truth but this is one of the reasons you shouldn't account share if he willingly gave over details, he knew the risks. There's already multiple people who play that char as it is. Also if the truth was that he was afk in a drop zone, if it was the other way round you would have done the same. Vics killed me in a drop zone before when I went afk for 2 minutes(my fault) and if I wasn't back in time I would have been revived and killed again. Can't complain about something that you do yourselves.
