I really don't know how to say this but imo welkins might be a bit overpowered for their level. They are the only thing that stops me from lvling in paradise on war. Get more than 1-2 in lure and you better have your rev on. On top of that their movement speed and attack speed are pretty insane.

Funnily enough I was looking at this the other day but though can't be a huge deal as no one has said anything! Have they changed or has it always been like this?

It's been like this as long as I've been able to kill in the areas. On war I can't handle any lures with more than 2 welkins cause they just destroy your hp. On wiz I have to trans like crazy cause the supers and champs move like rockets and rip you apart.

149 war with nearly 600ac no pots or tao buffs

i tried to level there last night but my internet is too slow and the toads fuck my shit up, way too fast
 
Weird I never thought of toads being an issue at all, it's the big ass plants out of little shop of horrors that slow you and ruin my day

I've tried a few techniques in there and found when solo I'll entrap the ones I don't like (the plants, can't remember their name atm) then dive into the lure, 2 or 3 swings of frost frenzy to slow everything then switch to chm to finish off the lure.

If you're in a group with another warrior, pull some crazy lures then stand together, get the lower level one to spam frost frenzy and the higher level to spam fire frenzy. The lure will just melt! I did this last week with Zink and Zad and we had no problems at all and made a ton of exp

Problem is the bitters die in like 3 hits on my war (1200dc) the welkins spam you with red so everything does alot more dmg. On wiz the welkins are just so fast you can barely target.

On all my chars I play really defensively, regardless of whether I'm in attacking kit or tanking kit, never be embarrassed to run away when necessary.

I agree the toads can be very hard to target, try casting frozen ground then running round it in such a way that the toad walks across it and gets slowed, that should make targeting it a lot easier. Another tactic is to use suanni legion on a lure that has a couple of toads in it, they should die in a few hits so you never need to worry about targeting
 
Just sucks in some respects. My wiz (144) can smash it in paradise. My near 150 war cant hang, even hoa is difficult and my wiz kills legit 4x faster. Just be nice if there was a bit of balance between the 2. Spent loads more kitting war than wiz.

I absolutely rip through places like dm3 and bdd on war. Wiz has a much harder time.
 
Different caves and mobs for different classes, Mir has always been that way. If warrs can rip through paradise mobs they will lvl even faster. Wizzies advantage is fast loving and this should be kept

We should, but those days are over. Warriors and taos can level just as fast as wiz now, there's very little point in being a wiz these days at the top tier warriors and taos can do everything I can do but 10x faster. Should have seen the mess we got in last night trying to let me finish the kill on TK it was embarrassing

obv because I spend all my ingame time soloing bosses quickly that would take my wiz 30mins each to do lol

When I take zink lvling he does a lvl in 6 hours without pot, I don't recall it being that fast on aro but it was so long ago I could be wrong.

Difference in lvling is on zink im getting 200k exp pretty much every second (I am still mostly single attacking), on aro I get 2m exp in a lure but it takes 1min to gather to lure then 30secs to set all ground attacks down and kill

Yep that's the point I try to make but warriors just don't understand lol. I'll spend a minute (or more) gathering a lure of maybe 20-30 mobs, then my cast order goes like this, frostbite, frozen ground, bloodstorm (cos ill be almost dead in the time it took me to cast those ground spells) COP, bloodstorm cos I'm almost dead again, COP a second time and the lure is almost all done, then another couple of COP to clean up the stragglers, bear in mind these are spells with a 4 second cool down that's a good 30 seconds to clear. A warrior of equivalent level and kit to me could kill those mobs one at a time in 2 hits which takes barely 1 second, let's be generous and say 2 seconds. That's 30 mobs a minute, less time than it even takes me to gather the lure.

Funny. My 146 wiz doesn't have to run much due to gp cave mob amounts. Killing mobs 1 by 1 even every 2 seconds is not enough to get you to 120 kill chain. On wiz I get there in no time and have no issues keeping up maxd.

Maybe our kits are different, I have no bother keeping kill chain up to max on either of my chars, but I still feel warrior is way faster

War sitting on 1100dc roughly with exp kit.
Wiz sitting on 790mc with rev.

War can melt enemies in 2-4 hits. Wiz takes several but has the advantage of killing literally as many as I want at a time.

Just using hoa as an example my war can clear until about 80-100 mobs until rs. Wiz clears entire floor with maybe 15 mobs left and wait another 3-4 mins for rs. I've literally cleared 1f and 2f in the time it takes for a rs where war has never been close to that.

I've spent a load more time on war than wiz.
 
I spent 5ish hours in PH last night in a Tao/War 155/153 pairing - without the toads there to slow us down it would just be too easy and I would have done the best part of a whole level in those 5 hours.

I agree that they are absolute nightmares to try to deal with solo, but IMO PH isn't an ideal place for war solo, stick to ToD where you can switch off XD.

A nice balance reasonable Post. Glad to one of the “up n commer’s” with this kind of attitude rather than a moan about how things aren’t easy enough
