Weaver Boss - thoughts?

Hi all,

Just curious to other peoples thoughts on it. Obviously we have all been hunting and trying to work out how to summon / gain acceess. We have all been storing up our shards etc thinking is it 3 or 5 that triggers the unlock etc?

It seems that yesterday we finally had the Rift open. We received a server announcement so EVERYONE knew.

This led to everyone who had a Shard in their inventory able to gain access to the KR. (more on this later).

The KR is a copy of Fox boss, which was slightly underwhelming if I'm honest, given that the images promoting this patch was very much spider based. It is also considerably under powered. Has 8mill HP which is fine, but it barely scratches you. Think it has 2k DC / MC? For a Tao with shield and high resistance, it didnt feel like any damage. Feel like this needs to be upped considerably (IMO). I was soloing it for first 5 or so minutes, and its definitely soloable if enough time. Perhaps similar timing to solo as cacadevil?

Anyhow, what then happened was a whole bunch of people get in and it becomes a huge PK battle (mainly Templar). Whilst I'm in Legends, those who know me know I like a PVP / fight as much as the rest of us, but the boss room and setup felt that there was an inevitable consequence. Just a bum fight with the likelihood that those who dont participate in pvp aint ever getting this boss, and those in guilds who do but smaller than the main 1-2 guilds, again aint ever participating in this boss.

I then work out, that actually only 1 shard is ever needed, as recalls are enabled in the map???. So all of the hard work and excitement of having a boss which was challenging to get to has vanished in an instant. You now just need 1 player in a guild to recall full guild for a PK fest.

PVP is a fundemental and arguably the most important part of this game. The whole risk/reward nature of the game stems from this. So this is not a moan. Just feels like the boss room could have been done differently with some skill.

So the experience for me was a bit underwhelming, ended up just fighting Brolly, TheSoul and Lucifer for 10 minutes in cave with TheSouls PC clearly struggling with the graphics of Weaver boss :)

Anyways, interesting to hear others peoples view / opinion and if any changes you think are needed?
 
Not trying to be argumentative here but you put;

So, GM introduces more content that allows PvP, indeed, seems to actively encourage it.
 
I agree with most of what you said. Recall should not be allowed. People have it to easy to just farm top bosses as it is with set timers etc.
A new map and new boss that has easy access isn't a great idea. As you said pve players have no chance because it will become a pk fest (although I love pk).
I think every1 should have to have a shard to enter. It will make people have to work for a boss for a change. Disable recall 100%.

However do think crystal spider room should be recall off
1 shard 1 player enters Kr then rift closes
Then he she can recall a group guild to tackle boss
Maybe have it random rift eg 8 people with shard enter rift only 1 comes to kr the others flung to other rooms could be karma based hehe
 
Delete recall sets and tele rings from the game

100% delete them from the gameshop and stop Dura pots from protecting them, let them whittle away over time but keep them as a loyalty shop mythic essence, and add them as extremely rare drop items...

Also whilst I'm here, I will just say server announcements absolutely suck, why is this still being used? This guy, who made the thread, has spent his time exploring and figuring out this new content that you have designed, just for your server to shout "Anyone on? Someone has finally cracked the safe!" and every man and his dog who is sat in safezone comes along to spoil his evening. That is an absolute joke no matter what game you're playing! Server announcements should just go back to announcing reboots and "Just spawned bosses in Mongchon, have fun :)"
 
This game is moving towards being more PvE-focused with little to no PK except during wars. The fun of trying to win a big boss fight might change but I think this is better for everyone overall. You can share your thoughts, but in my opinion, it should stay this way.

Now about the Weaver boss—people are saying to disable recall for it, and I agree. Maybe the GM can make the shard drop from something else instead of just from the boss kill. This new system the GM is adding is something fresh and we should be thankful for the new content. Last night’s boss spawned during the war and people dropped a lot of good item's. Keep up the good work!

to remove the recallsets and teleportring will makes the game harder to play and more player will leave the game

So how about just spawn the all bosses around the town? May be in-front of the city gate?

Incase in future someone will complain it is too far to walk outside the town how about just list all the boss drop so everyone can purchase it from the shop?

or to make it more convenient for all how about gm just list everything for free so player can choose what to set of item and what runes to use on the item?

I'm not sure I'm understanding your comment properly. Multiple people have made suggestions that would make the game harder, and your response seems to be implying that people are demanding the game is made easier. It doesn't make much sense to me. Can you explain differently?
 
I think the suggestion to ban recall and teleportation in boss rooms is the right call. I would go further and make it like some of the other dungeons and stop their use in the last few rooms before the KR as well.

The server announcements are also something that needs to go.

I like the server announcement for EvilMir since that is a random respawn and can trigger a server wide event to kill it, but when somebody has worked to figure out how to open a rift then it just tells everybody anyway, something is off with that
