Trojan warning | The Legend of Mir

Trojan warning

My laptop keeps shutting down Mir with a trojan warning.
Scans show nothing and only seems to affect .exe file.

This is what I get:

Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.D1!ml

This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Legend of Mir 2\Mir2.exe

Any ideas what's causing this? All was fine until yesterday

I think you will need to set ur anti virus application to ignore mir.2.exe.. its a common problem with mir2.exe

Windows update has new definitions I believe. I haven't had a problem in 9 months or so but 3 times today it blocked out exe.

Yh Mir always flags up as untrusted program. Just click always allow program and you won’t see it again , unless maybe after a windows update.

This seemed to change with the windows update last week, it is relatively easy to change the settings so that windows av/defender completely ignores the mir folder which negates the problem.

Windows defender closed mir on me last night randomly and made me flag it as an exception. Annoying when bossing lol

It doesn't open any ports on your pc, any more than a Web browser does. Outgoing ports are a completely normal thing that is essential for any communication and would never be flagged by AV. Inbound ports would be useless as most users would be connected to a router so unless you're also getting users to set up NAT rules on their router in order to play the game then you're talking nonsense

What's gg got to do with it? You buy gg through PayPal. The trojan warnings are because of the way the autopatcher works. That method was common many years ago but isn't really used much now except for MIR, but some trojans will use the same methods to get files onto your computer. That's why AV thinks it's worth warning you
