Rather than dust of an old thread thought I would start a new one.

A lot of people will agree its well overdue time for some new spells for 170+:

Here's what I would like to see:

Wizz: Higher version of frost crunch for pvp and a uber thunderbolt for bossing

Tao: a less powerful version of repent that can be used in pvp, new pet skins

Warr: a merged defence spell that boosts ac and amc at same time. ITD boost spell.

What do people think? feel free to rip the ideas apart or post some different one =)
 
Tao -- TU , Elemental buff that buffs all elements as well as a Debuff version , psn recov/resist buff , reflect 10% spell , poison cloud , Maybe let us cast more than 1 trap hex, Holyshock but with poison would be dope to , repent ofc , goldfind buff to go with the exp buff?

Edit : i dont think warriors need a defence spell tbh they can be incredibly tanky as is, giving them this spell would just make them as tanky but being able to have a OP DC kit on makin them even more broken then they already are
 
A less powerful repent and new skins is not going to cut it for a tao.

If we are the healing class it would be nice to have our own version of bloodstorm so we can keep up with lures/lvling of other classes.

All buffs/debuffs combined would be nice so we can actually access all the spells we need to level.

Some sort of DD resist.

A mass attack like devils vision but ice

Some ideas off the top of my head

in the current day and age i cant see an extra 30 ac amc being game changing, they still need a high res to defend in pvp which leads to a huge chunk out of dc imo.

Any thoughts of new alternative spells for warr as u normally have reasonably balanced views?

Giving warriors a slightly better dmg/pro field wouldnt go amiss, but i dont think they should have MDR or a AMC spell coz this class is supposed to get owned by wizzies , if u wanna be a wiz tank make a kit for it imo.

Storm thrust also i think needs to just be deleted n maybe replaced with a dark thrust or something ?

a damage a pro field in 1 button cos warrs are lazy =p
 
Playing a war I only have war opinions...

I'd like to see either a Dark attack 2 square AoE sibling of Frost/FireFrenzy that works with Bloodlust, or alternatively a passive spell that makes the Frenzy skills work with BL.

Instead of having a re-dressed version of ac/amc buff - how about a war bubble that when active acts like a rev ring, but it basically just prevents a kill shot being inflicted on you, so any hit that would kill you, the bubble disappears and you are given like 25% hp.

Something that boosts accuracy by ALOT for a very short duration, with a long cooldown.

Try using chm with dd+ld kit. You’ll be amazed.
 
I'll be completely honest, I'd like to see what we have worked to create balance.

So many small changes over a long period of time coupled with scaling of stats, has lead to what we have.

The only thing I can 100% agree with is taos need some form of physical defence. Warrior damage scaling compared to hp scaling is so disproportionate that we now have taos getting 1 shot.

I'd work on a temporary fix for that to start with. Maybe then taos can solo places like ct and orc at a reasonable pace.

The problem with meddling with other spells and stats, is not that balance can't be achieved. Its the fact that if I have 80%-90% pdr and you make it so a player can kill me, then imagine how some poor nub at 160 with no pdr kit is going to do.

This is what I keep getting on which falls on deaf ears.

In order to create balance a lot of testing needs to be done. Not just on high lvl top kitted characters. But on the impact on lower levels also. A lot of stuff on all 3 classes would have to change, and I can only assume that the outcome will upset a lot of people my self included.

But I'm not a fool, I completely understand changes need to be made, but they need to be made across the board.
 
After a 2 month break I gotta say I'm finding Tao extremely under whelming, It just doesn't feel useful in pvp or pve tbh. I've always played Tao so it isn't that easy for me to change. Yeh we can maybe hold our own in a 1v1 but most pvp on here is group pvp and we're dead in seconds.
 
Wizard: Mass TU that covers the same space as firebang
Taoist: Make ac and amc and some other buff spells in to 1 spell + also give another shield for taoists that protects them from physical attack.. but not for both PA and MA together..
Warrior: Make Protection field, Damage field and Berserk into 1 spell

Buff spells into 1 is a good idea cause it will open up 2-3 buttons for other spells that you hardly use.. and i think thats pretty handy.

Also make acromans LVL go past just 1.. so the colour can be hard blue..
 
wiz - new version of tame which can tame one standard sub boss (no supers or champs) and cannot be used alongside e-shock.

war - how about a passive skill which gives them 1 additional rev cooldown 30m or 1hour?

tao - I have no idea never played it
 
Here's a controversial one, how about giving warriors a summonable pet like a shinsu, but maybe something that's of use, like it has a special skill (para? red poison? fireburn?)

Wizards absolutely need a single target dps spell. Something like frost crunch (ice blast) maybe but with a high rate of fire and ITD (it would be to a wiz what tdb is to a war) would be lovely

Taoist... dragonfire shield! Give those guys some pdr, cos we know how much everyone loves pdr :D And maybe an advanced-mass-healing that can target the whole group the way UE does, even if out of range!
 
Some great ideas here. As I have only ever used a Tao, I won’t suggest wiz or war. I think PDR on Energy Shield which was mentioned earlier makes a lot of sense. This and less cool down times on DV and TS and I’m a happier Tao than I was before. Maybe the ability to tame 1 Pet, could be a great help to lower level Tao to have 5 pets capability, especially when Solo.

Another spell idea

Wizard: Luring cry (attract mobs towards you)
Taoists: Lion Roar (scare mobs away from you)
Warrior: Fireball spell that does around same damage as an average lvl 170 Acromen

All spells for lvl 165+
